Since 1992, May has been Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, to recognize the contributions of the Asian American, Pacific Islander and Native Hawaiian communities to the nation.
Reaching the end of the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia, Team USA finished second in total medals. Among this group of elite athletes, various Asian American athletes represented the United States and finished with commendable results.
