ASEAN-U.S. Eminent Persons Group Report to Leaders

The report crafted by the ASEAN-U.S. Eminent Persons Group (EPG) for the ASEAN-U.S. Leaders’ Meeting in Phnom Penh, Cambodia in November has been released. The report contains recommendations from thirteen distinguished members on measures that they believe will bolster ASEAN-U.S. partnership. Among the initiatives recommended by the EPG in the political-security, economic, and socio-cultural fields are that the Leaders’ Meeting be elevated to become an annual summit, that exchanges between students and officials be doubled, that an annual business summit be established, and that a biannual youth games be created.
